400 kV Substation

The Concrete Substation project covers a turnkey job including civil building works, design and engineering, manufacturing of equipment related to Primary Substation, Installation, testing & Commissioning until the full operation of Substation.
Civil works comprise of the following:
The Civil building shall be single storey construction.
Building shall have a concrete skeleton structure and flat concrete roof.
Internal concrete roads, pathways, Guard room and boundary walls.
Separate indoor rooms for HV switchgear, MV switchgear, Batteries & Chargers, LV Distribution boards, Control & Relay boards, Telecommunication equipment, Neutral Resistors, Local Transformers and Fire-fighting equipment.
Outdoor concrete skeleton structure with raft foundation for Power Transformers and fire wall separation between the Transformers and sunshade.
Central Air-conditioning system and Heat ventilation system.
External and Internal lighting.
Fire-fighting water spray and Fire alarm system.
The Substation shall have the following major equipment’s:
400kV & 132kV HV Gas Insulated Switchgear
300MVA – 400/132kV and 30MVA – 132/11kV Power Transformers
45MVAR Shunt Reactors
Neutral Earthing arrangement (Gas Insulated for 400kV and MV Resistors for 11kV of Transformer Neutral)
11/0.433 kV Local Transformers for Substation auxiliary power.
33kV Gas Insulated switchgear with vacuum Breakers for Shunt Reactors.
11kV Metal clad switchgear with vacuum Breakers.
Remote control Panels for the operation of HV & MV Switchgears.
Protection Board for the above Switchgears.
LV AC & DC Distribution boards.
Batteries & Charging equipment.
Telemetry Equipment.
Intertrip equipment for feeders connected between Substations.
Fire alarm & water spray system Control panels.

11 kV Elevated Substation

Elevated substations are typically built above the ground. Elevated substations often have enhanced safety features such as fencing, surveillance system and motorized gate to prevent unauthorized access and ensure secure operations. The 11kV Elevated main intake substation is normally fed from 132/11kV primary substation inside the same compound. In elevated substations, the raised floor is used for the installation of control and relay panels.
